The time reserved just for you is as much an opportunity for us to learn more about you as a patient, as it is a chance for you to learn more about your treatment options. We begin by obtaining a thorough medical history to give us a better understanding of your entire health status and how your orthodontic care will fit into your lifestyle. Following a tour of our office and an introduction to some of our staff members, records are completed including digital x-rays and clinical photographs. Then, a digital record of your teeth and bite is taken with an iTero® Intraoral Digital Scanner – no gooey, messy impressions. After using the scan to generate a 3D Smile Simulation to show you how great your teeth can look after orthodontics, our treatment coordinators will meet with you one-on-one to welcome you to our orthodontic family and get you started on your orthodontic journey! Dr. Fleming and Dr. Fleming will then perform a detailed case appraisal including an assessment of your teeth, bite, oral musculature, and skeletal form along with an analysis of your digital records. The clinical exam is followed by a discussion with the doctor about your goals and priorities, treatment options, and estimated treatment time. It’s important to our doctors to answer absolutely every question you may have about their backgrounds and experience, the practice, your case, and their approach for your orthodontic correction.
